Kylie was the Queen/Student Teacher today. She did a fabulous job and helped me so much. I especially enjoyed the nail polish from Disney World that dries REALLY fast. :) I don't know what I'd do without my student teachers. :)

Ridge highlighted the sight word "I" with tape. We are working very hard on reading strategies and comprehension.

I heart this CD soooo much!! It's called Sing and Spell Sight Words, Heidi's Songs. YouTube Heidi's Songs and check out the fun!

We took a trip to the Counselor's Cove today to visit with Ms. Signago. She did a fabulous lesson on this months character word, Respect. Please continue to reinforce this word at home. She also talked about the staff members and their special jobs.

I loved her pet Eagle. It watched to make sure the kids did the right thing.

Jahanvi did a great job talking about respect.

We worked very hard today on labeling objects. To make it fun, Salihah volunteered to let us label her body...head, nose, foot, arm, and leg. She was a great sport. I "shared" the pen with Aiden and He did a great job writing the word leg. He heard the beginning, middle, and ending sound!

Sooo fun!!

I love this pic!!

After the mini lesson, the kids used their journal to draw and label a picture of an animal. Salihah did a great job drawing and labeling a dog.

Matthew did a fantastic job drawing and labeling a chicken. He wrote the words all by himself and I transcribed after he read it to me. :)

Mia Grace used her creativity by drawing and labeling a water dragon.

Kayden and his mom worked together on a deer. We enjoyed her visit so much. I love the way he's using his skills binder!!!

We went to computer lab this afternoon with Mrs. Morton. She taught us all about the keyboard, monitor, mouse, and head phones.

Remily did a great job following Mrs. Morton's rules.

Check out this website. The kids really enjoyed it today. Thanks Mrs. Morton!

http://Poissonrouge.com. It means red fish in French.

We ended the day in the library. Mrs. Cantrell did a great job on the smart board about weather. I love how technology is integrated into all areas of the curriculum. We checked out new books for our familiar reading baskets.

This picture warms my heart!!! I have fallen in love with my class!! I look forward to going to work and seeing their sweet smiling faces every morning. :) I feel so blessed to be their teacher.
