Guidelines:

 The criteria should be based on students’ behavior throughout the building, not just in the classroom.
 I can select as many students in my classroom that meet the criteria listed above.
 Students will be recognized monthly by having their class group picture on the bulletin board.

Happy Birthday Kylie!

Happy Birthday Kylie! We had fun celebrating her big day. I've got a bunch of 6 year olds in my class now!!








Aiden and Kylie were chosen for this months character award. Way to go! I'm very proud of them.




Mrs. Hardin's class is drug free for life!!




Matthew's sweet mom volunteered in our class today. We enjoyed her visit so much!! Thanks for your help.

We love building sight words with play-doh!








Owen worked hard sorting letters, words, and sentences into 3 groups.




Gracie and Kayden did great writing and stamping sight words.




Amogh and Lilly used play-doh to build teen numbers on 10 Frames.

We give drugs the boot!

I loved the western outfits today!!! Sooo cute!!









Caleb did a fantastic job during reading groups! He did a great job retelling the story.




John David was very focused too! He gave me lots of detail about the main character.




Wow! Check out our story during writer's workshop! Today, we focused on adding details to our story.





These sweet pictures make me smile. :) we had a great day, full of learning!!




Don't forget the Fall Carnival is tomorrow evening! We're taking Harrison to see The Fresh Beat Band so we won't make it.

Conferences were a huge success! Thank you so much for coming. I truly appreciate your support and encouragement. I love each child as if they were my own. :) Thank you for sharing them with me. :)

During Math, we played the game...I have, Who Has.. It focused on numbers 0-20 using ten frames.




Jahanvi and Matthew won Student of the Week in PE!! Way to go!!




Get ready for total amazement!! The K Flex space looks so fab!!! I appreciate all that volunteered! It's so impressive!








Mia's mom is an artist and painted this cool scene from a book!! So creative! I appreciate Kylie's mom decorating too!

Lots and Lots of Info!

I hope everyone had a great weekend. The weather has been so nice and we enjoyed the state fair yesterday afternoon. Harrison is still a little unsure of the kiddie rides, but loved feeding and petting the animals! We have a busy week, filled with fun activities.

It’s Red Ribbon Week! The district wide theme this year is “The best in me is Drug Free”. All students will receive a red ribbon on Tuesday, October 23. We are encouraging the students to wear their Red Ribbon every day that week. You can also show spirit by:

Tuesday: “My future is bright without drugs!” Everyone is encouraged to wear sunglasses.
Wednesday: “We give drugs the boot!” Everyone is encouraged to wear boots and/or western wear.
Thursday: “I’m a “Jean”-ius, I’m drug free!” Everyone is encouraged to wear jeans.
Friday: “Wear Red Day!” Everyone is encouraged to wear red to symbolize the fight against drug abuse.

The Fall Carnival is Thursday, October 25th, from 5:30-7:30. Pizza and drinks will be available for cash purchase.

Kindergarten will be on Channel 4’s Morning Show all this week at 6:14 and 6:44 am. Don’t forget to set your DVR!

Example costumes would be poodle skirts, ponytails with ribbons/scarfs, tight rolled or rolled up jeans, white t-shirts, leather jackets, saddle oxfords, hair slicked back with gel, cat eyed glasses, bobby socks, etc. Have fun with it!

No Tardy Party!!!

Mrs. Anderson did a surprise all call over the intercom to honor the kids that have not been tardy during the1st nine weeks. They received a treat and special recognition from Mrs. Anderson and Mrs. Sims.

We enjoyed delicious pumpkin chocolate chip muffins from Caleb's mom today. We had a few extra so I took them home to Harrison. He loved them!! Thank you Mrs. Robin!
