I passed out white boards and expos to keep in seat pockets. They loved this!
We practiced first and last name and date. We write this on our papers daily.
During shared reading, we found color words, practiced directionality and return sweep.
We started counting collections in math. This is a big deal!! We practiced procedures over and over.
The class is grouped in pairs and assigned a certain box. Partner A counts the items out of the box and Partner B counts them back in. We write the answer in our journals and share with the class.
We learned about labeling in grammar. We drew a family portrait and labeled the members.
During Social Studies, we learned about authorities in our school. They enjoyed this so much.
We learned about the 5 senses during science.
The Mystery Reader was.....Belle's mom!! My kids loved her books and were so attentive. Thank you for volunteering. We are looking forward to next Monday for the next mystery reader.
