Control Cream and Smart Sprinkles

We had a super, busy Monday! Olivia has waited so patiently to be the queen! She's the last one!



She brought really neat things to share, especially the waxed model of her hand.




She even had a picture of me too. So sweet.







We learned all about the letter Cc and sang the Callie Cat song. Look at that big smile on Keithan's face!!




We learned sight word--the! Emily wrote it for fluency.




We found it in our shared reading book.




We talked about using expression while reading. This is a very important skill in kindergarten.




We also discussed setting and plot today. Continue to work on retelling a story with your child--beginning, middle and end.







Griffin did an outstanding job making a list of boys and girls in the work on writing center.




Annalise stamped the word "the" and then formed the sight word using play-doh. They loved this!! I added it to the word work center.







Clayton "high fived" the word "the"!





During writer's workshop, we wrote a sentence about a pet using the word "the".




These writer's did a fantastic JOB!









During Math, we learned how to make 5.



We used a 5 frame and color chips.




They were able to tell me a lot of different combinations. 1 and 4, 4 and 1, 2 and 3, 3 and 2, etc.




Great job!



I added a new "magical cream" to the mix. It's called "control cream" and it really helps with self control-shouting out, hands to yourself, etc. :)







I had to break out the "smart sprinkles" today too. This stuff really works!!! :)
