It's beginning to look a lot like.....Thanksgiving!!

We started our morning with the Daily News! Look at all these kindergarten concepts! This is one of my favorite things to do in K!

Since we're Native Americans for the Thanksgiving play, I thought this book would be perfect for Shared Reading each day this week. We talked about fiction and nonfiction while reading each page.

Gracie, the student teacher today, shared a few turkey facts with the class.

After the lesson, we made a turkey tree map. Turkeys-----have, can, are....
Look at Remily using a writing strategy!!!

Addison wrote----Turkeys are wild. Look at all those sounds!

Check out the "have" column, second word down!! Turkeys have girlfriends!! So funny!!

During independent writing, we made a tree map to show parents. Awesome writing Ananya!!

How many ways can we make 5?? Ask your child, they know. :)

Jahanvi did a great job showing the combinations of 5.

Look at the kindergartners at work. :)

The finished product! Way to go Owen!

We're ready for our Thanksgiving play and feast! Headband-check! Vest-check! Necklace-check! Placemat-check!! Thanks for all your help!! Hope to see y'all Wednesday in the dining room at 10:00.

Super cute!!

Ananya was the music star today! Yay!! Good job!

I purchased this fabulous burlap turkey door hangar at the Roberts Holiday House. Adorbs!! :)
P.S. Don't forget to vote for Cody Belew tonight!! He is simply the best!!!!!!
