NICU Christmas Blanket Drive

As you know, our son Harrison, was born 3 months early, weighing 2 pounds. We spent 93 days at UAMS' Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, which included Harrison's first Thanksgiving and Christmas. During our stay, so many people reached out to help. One specific act of kindness stood out. On Christmas Day, we received a beautiful baby blanket for Harrison. We wrapped him up in it and it quickly became his favorite. Last year, my husband and I started a blanket drive to bless other families spending Christmas in the NICU. 227 new baby blankets were donated from all over the state!!

If this is something your family or community group would like to donate to as a service project, please send a NEW baby blanket to school with your child. Blankets need to be standard size, no receiving blankets please. :) Homemade blankets are welcome too! Kohl's has a great selection. You can pick boy, girl, or gender neutral. The deadline is December 14. The goal is to bless all 4 NICU's in Little Rock!

THANKS!

Harrison was born. You can get an idea of how small he was.. :)
