We had another fabulous day in Kindergarten! John David was King of the Day and he did an outstanding job presenting his 5 favorite things. After his presentation, the children worked on writing and spelling his name. Each child drew a picture of John David and we made a book for him to take home. We have been working so hard on rules and procedures, but we're also having a lot of fun too!
We wrote in our journals today. I taught a mini-lesson about where to start writing and leaving spaces between words. We made a connection using meatballs and spaghetti noodles when writing. We leave pretend meatballs between words and spaghetti noodles between letters! The children explored color tiles during math. I loved watching them sort and count. Another awesome day full of learning!! I love my class!!
