Ted Arnold visited our school today!! He's published over 50 books as an author and illustrator. We enjoyed him so much!!!













We love making words within words! I love seeing them manipulate letters and blend to make new words.



Awesome word building Brookie!! She got her cast off and out of the wheel chair! Yay Brookie!!!!!




We wrote about why we are lucky..I loved Emily's story!! So sweet!! I'm going to put their picture above their sentence and laminate.

We have been working so hard on teen numbers. Using this double ten-frame mat reinforces the concept that the teen numbers are ten plus another smaller number. The double ten-frame mat helps students visually make this connection.



















Emily said the answer, then revealed it to the class. Good job!

We focused on the chunk "ch" in the word March.

















Fluency is so important for kindergartners! This is a great way for us to practice whole group and small group instruction!









Clayton rocked the math assessment! Way to go!!









We concluded the week with a fun Dr. Seuss snack from Olivia's mom! The kids loved it so much! Thanks!

John Adams LOVES being a big brother!! He talks about baby Nathan all the time. He drew this pic of baby brother last night. So precious!!!




My reading groups were on fire today! Music to my ears. They are such hard workers!!

Mrs. Dees and I participated in the Little Rock Marathon this weekend. I did the 10k and she completed the half marathon. We had a blast!





Ethan's sweet mom, Lindsey, picked ran too! Thanks for the ride Lindsey!!






I got to kiss my baby right before crossing the finish line. That was the best part! Hope everyone had a great weekend!!
