Day 2

Day 2 with my KinderPals was great! We continued with rules and procedures. I think they're getting the hang of it! :)
We started off with our King of the Day. John did an outstanding job sharing some of his favorite things. This really helps us get to know each other a little better too. We also focused on the letters in his name. We also spelled, clapped and wrote his name. We used only 1 capital letter at the beginning. I noticed lots of my KinderPals use all capital letters when writing their first name. Please help your child use a capital letter at the beginning of their first and last name. :)

The kids really loved his medal!

Each child drew a picture of John.

We put them all together and made this cool book! John seemed super excited about it! Too cute!

We did letter/sound work this morning. Keithan did a great job finding a capital J!

We spent a little time outside this morning reviewing playground rules and procedures.

This afternoon we started rainbow write. This is a great way to introduce letter formation.

During math, we explored color tiles. They sorted, made patterns, stacked and made neat designs.

Olivia had a "boo boo" so she used a little ouchie ointment and it was all better! :)

We ALL needed a little extra help focusing this afternoon, so John gave everyone a squirt of focus formula. It really seemed to help! ;)

This stuff works like magic. :) (baby lotion)
Here are the 3 KinderPals that I missed yesterday. Soooo cute!!

Overall it was a fabulous day in K!!!!!

I missed taking 3 kids (saanvi, one of the triplets, and John) pictures today! I'll post them tomorrow. :) I mixed the photo shoot with early morning recess. :)

After we got our backpacks cleaned out, we gathered for circle time. Olivia did a great job checking-in.

We practiced hand signals for bathroom, Kleenex, water, pencil, and question.

We spent a long time discussing the rules. Ethan was able to retell the rules and consequences! Awesome!!

We sang a fun song about the month of August.

We also learned about the calendar.

We discussed the rules and more rules! They really did a great job listening to so much information!

I think this was their favorite slide! These kids are so eager to utilize technology! Yay!!!!

And they were all so excited about homework!!!! :)

During shared writing, we wrote our names on a chart. I was in SHOCK!! Everyone could write their name and even some last names!!! Woohoo!!!

We practiced lunch procedures in the dining room.

We drew a self portrait. These turned out so cute!!

Andrew was very focused and added lots of detail.

Hard workers!!

Good job Saanvi!

Clayton loved Pete the Cat!

John will be our King tomorrow! We're looking forward to learning all about him! I wonder what 5 things he's going to share??

Everyone earned a certificate from Pete the Cat!!! Everyone had a purrrrfect day!!!
