We had a wonderful Wednesday! Ethan got a 100% on his AR test! So proud!

These super star writers did great during writer's workshop. Each child got a word on a post-it then generated a sentence based on their word. They did fantastic!!

Look at these precious readers! So proud of them!!

My kids worked really hard during centers. This particular group went on a word hunt. They had to write the word and then come up with a rhyming word.

-

Vaishavi sorted real and nonsense words, then wrote them down on the response sheet.

Ethan stamped -ug words we learned this morning.

The triplets sweet Grandmother gave us a stamp collection kit to
Stamp a Story. I loved John's story. Look at that writing!!!

We played a base 10 partner game. They flew through it. Makes me so proud to hear them count 10 and....

We focused on capitalizing Days of the Week and Months of the Year in Grammar.

Look at John John's writing!! I am sooooo proud of him!!!

I wanted to share these pics of my little man. We had a great time outside this past weekend. I'm so ready for spring!!

iPad day was way fun! We made a list of sight words for fluency.

Check out the pronouns we learned in grammar.

We practiced "gl" words too.

During shared writing, we filled in the missing letters and words.

I have super smart writers!

We used the iPads for math too. There's an awesome app called Number Pieces that focuses on base 10. We continued constructing numbers 11-20 using rods and units.

Look at Andrew's proud face!! He said, look I can use 3 tens and it's 30!

We learned about the role of a First Lady.

My sweet MeMe and Paw gave this book to me when I was 7.

Since John Adam is named after our 2nd President, we researched his First Lady. The kids found this so interesting.

-

We broke words a part to make new ones. They are getting so good at this!

During math, we explored ones and tens. Each student had to construct the first initial in their name using rods and units.

They had to count how many ones, how many tens, and how many all together.

A big thanks to Olivia's fam for my Valentine's Day gift. It's beyond totes adorbs!! I can't wait to carry it!!!

Happy Birthday Emily! We had fun celebrating with you!

We will learn about US Presidents this week.

We learned John Adams was named after our 2nd President. So cool!

We did an in-depth study onAbraham Lincoln today.

This story taught us a lot.

We made a tree map during writer's workshop.

Awesome writing!!

We concluded our day with this adorable craft!!

These turned out beyond cute!!

We did a fun activity during word work. We found words within the word Washington.

They are super spellers!

During math, we talked about place value and constructed numbers using rods (10) and units (1). My kids blew me away with their strategies. I heard one say 1 ten and 7 ones makes 17, so 10 + 7 = 17!!! Wow!! We focused on numbers 11-20 and will build upon that.

Awesome job Annalise!!

Poor Brookie hurt her leg at the trampoline park. Poor baby! My kids were sooo sweet to her today and by this picture you can see the boys being such gentlemen.

Big thanks to Ethan for sending adorable scrapbook paper for the classroom. We appreciate it so much!!
