We did TONS of writing today! I'm so impressed with their progress!! We did a sight word fluency check as a warm-up.

We also worked on words that end with -at.

During Writer's Workshop we made a tree map about apples. Apples have...apples are....apples make. They did an outstanding job!!

We had an awesome Monday!!

We had a super busy day in K! Apple week is so fun!!

Ethan gave me a "happy" first thing this morning!

I got a very special "gold" coin! He said I could use it for a diet coke! :)

We worked on patriotic hats for the freedom parade!

Ethan's sweet mom sent a mixture of sliced red, green and yellow apples in individual baggies for each kid. This was the perfect snack since it's apple week.

After we tasted them, we did a graph and analyzed the data. Can you guess which color was their favorite?!?! I did a quick mini lesson on tally marks too. They did great and caught on quick! I was very impressed!

The results. Awesome day!!

Picture Day is always so much fun! :) I tried my hardest to fix hair, button and straighten collars, and clean faces. :) Seeing their sweet smiles made it all worth it!! Please share a picture with me when they come in. I love to show them off!!

We worked on blending sounds to make words today.

During shared reading, we circled certain letters and found punctuation marks.

Each child received their own copy for their familiar reading basket.

We sequenced the life cycle of an apple seed.

Remember this book?? My kids loved Johnny Appleseed! They couldn't believe he wore a pan on his head and walked around with bare feet!!

We put the words in order to make a sentence about JA!

This was a precious act of kindness today!!! Griffin knows how bad I want an iPad mini for the classroom. He brought 1.00 from his piggy bank to add to our fund!! How sweet is that???!!!

We heart iPads!! We used them during math.

Look how engaged my kids were!!!!

We made towers again. We focused on adding "one more" and number order.

I had to end this post with this deliciousness!! Mr. Scooter and I went to Bonefish for dinner. Bang Bang Shrimp is always a perfect way to end the day!
