Wow! This week has flown by! We did a fun word building activity today. We cracked open the eggs and made CVC words.






Fatima did a wonderful job building a consonant vowel consonant word.





Look at all the words Addison made.



We also created 1,2, 3, 4, and 5 letter words using 9 letters.




Then they had to unscramble the letters to find the mystery word.




This book is too cute!! The kids loved it! Assistant is one of our vocabulary words this week. After the story, they had to write an opinion response wether or not the Easter Bunny should or should not have an assistant.




Kylie and Jahanvi did an AWESOME job!!!










Kylie shared her Spring Break trip to the Grand Canyon and Disneyland with our class. She gave us so much detail. You know how I love details. :)

Princess and the Pea

Our field trip to the Arkansas Arts Center was a huge success. The play was so cute and they thoroughly enjoyed it. :) I was so proud of their behavior.

Welcome back! We started our morning with a warm-up writing prompt. They had to tell me every little detail about their spring break. I let all of them share. Wow, these kids had a blast!!







Check out their writing! I love when they fill the page and use more than 5 colors. :) super star writers!!



























Jahanvi did a great job during work on writing. She went on a hunt around the room to find and record bunny words.








Amogh did a great job retelling the book after listening to it on the iPod.





Addison did great building sentences in word work.





Owen did a super job adding!






These 2 worked hard labeling a bunny in the work on writing center.



Aiden found words around the room that started with the letters on the left. Awesome job!

Shamrock Shakes-Kindergarten Style!

Since we couldn't have McDonald's Shamrock Shakes, we decided to create our own version.





The ingredients included: green sherbet, Sierra Mist, green icing, green marshmallows, and magical gold sprinkles and stars. Oh and a green pitcher!





Fatima did a great job pouring in the "whole" container. We incorporated lots of math vocabulary in this activity.




Jahanvi poured in the special leprechaun potion.






Kayden had to mix 10+10 times!





Lilly added the gold magic dust!






This was a great opportunity to talk about even and odd amounts.






Mia topped it with special green sparkle dust!





Caleb added one more layer of gold dust.







Bam! There you have it-Shamrock Shakes!!







Addison loved it!

Caleb wasn't sure at first and then he said....I love it!!




Matthew was the first one done!! He said it was the best thing he's ever had in his life. :)

Fatima's dad is letting our class use their iPad this year. So generous and we're so excited!
